HMD may soon release a business edition of the recently launched HMD Fusion, clears this certification
HMD Fusion was launched just a few days ago with Gen 2 repairability in European markets. Now, there’s exciting news that HMD may soon release a Business Edition of this smartphone. As the name suggests, this version is likely to be aimed at business customers.
HMD Fusion Business Edition spotted on GCF and CQC
This smartphone is registered with the model number ‘TA-1670’, and the marketing name listed on the GCF certification is HMD Fusion Business Edition. It was certified just a day after the HMD Fusion launch on 5th September 2024 on the GCF. According to the GCF, it will support 5G NR (SA) and 5G EN-DC (NSA), with compatibility for the following 5G frequency bands: n1, n3, n5, n8, n20, n28 (20MHz and 30MHz bandwidths), n38, n40, n41, n77, and n78.
Additionally, the certification reveals that it will feature Remote SIM Provisioning, meaning it will have eSIM support, just like the HMD Fusion.
According to the CQC certification, the device was tested with 15W, 19.98W, and 27W fast charging. However, HMD may market it as supporting 33W fast charging, just as it did with the HMD Fusion.
Beyond this, the certifications doesn’t reveal much in terms of hardware specifications. However, I believe it may share similar specs with the HMD Fusion. That said, nothing is certain at this early stage. Hopefully, more details will emerge soon.
