Honor GT Phone Battery Capacity Revealed, Packs Lower Battery Capacity in Comparison to Xiaomi 15; Real Life Images Shared

The Chinese smartphone maker, Honor, will be officially unveiling its latest e-sports device at the beginning of next week. While the brand has been teasing its upcoming device, revealing key specs and features, the tech world has raised a criticism. The battery capacity of the device has now been revealed, and when compared to the Xiaomi 15 device that was launched in October 2024, the soon-to-be-released Honor GT smartphone may be packing a lower battery capacity. Honor GT – Lower Battery Capacity than Xiaomi 15?

So based on the new update, Honor’s GT phone is revealed to pack a 5300 mAh battery backup and in comparison to this, the Xiaomi 15 device has a 100 mAh larger battery of 5400 mAh capacity. So why is the e-sports device being criticized now?

The Xiaomi 15 smartphone only features a 6.3″ display screen, whereas the Honor GT is said to have a larger 6.7″ display. When a device with a smaller display can offer a 5400 mAh battery, why isn’t it being offered on a larger display phone. On top of that, the Honor GT is a gaming smartphone as well. To add, most of the sub-flagship and flagship devices that were unveiled recently with around 6.7″ displays offered about 6000 mAh battery capacity or more. Notably, the Honor 300 series devices also only have 5300 mAh battery (Si/C) within them.

Speaking more about the upcoming Honor GT phone, some of its key specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 16GB/1TB storage options, 6.7″ 1.5K LTPS straight display, 3840Hz high frequency dimming, 50MP OIS + 12MP rear camera module, 5300 mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, plastic middle frame, 7.7 mm thickness, and 186 gm (as per new update) weight. It will be offered in three colors – Ice Crystal White, Phantom Black, and Aurora Green. Already we have come across all these color models and few render images, and the now spotted real-life images align with them. It is the real life images of the Ice Crystal White color variant.

The official launch of the Honor GT phone will be held on the 16th of December 2024 in China. Moreover, tipster Digital Chat Station notes that apart from the OnePlus Ace 5 series, the Honor GT could be the only other new iterative phone of this year. Along with the Honor GT phone, the brand will also launch the Honor Pad V9 tablet too for its Chinese consumers on the same day. The pre-reservation for both these products also went live a few days back in the country.
