Honor X6b 4G Receives EMVCo Approval, Confirming Secure Contactless Payment Capabilities Ahead of Global Launch
Honor’s upcoming 4G smartphone named Honor X6b 4G has been earlier spotted on IMDA, NBTC, and GCF has now received the EMVCo Letter of Approval for a contactless mobile product. This smartphone appeared with the model number JDY-LX1 and approval number MTA_LOA_HODC_05062. This approval confirms that the smartphone meets the required standards for secure and interoperable contactless transactions. It will run Android 14 out of the box and will also support NFC for contactless payment. This approval brings the smartphone one step closer to its launch.
Features remain under the wrap though its certifications have confirmed that it will be launched globally and very soon. The last time we saw a 4G phone from the company was the Honor X7b 4G which came last year with features like a 6.8 inch IPS LCD display that offers 2412×1080 screen resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It came with the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone is backed by a 6000 mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging. In the camera department, it features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 108MP main camera and dual 2MP sensors while on the front the device features an 8MP selfie camera.
