Honor’s Next Magic 7 RSR Smartphone Spotted on the MIIT Database, Revealing its Dual Satellite Support
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Honor, debuted its Magic 7 series late last month in October 2024 and released two smartphone models under the series – Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro. A third smartphone – the Magic 7 RSR will be joining the Magic 7 series in the month of December 2024 and now, we have spotted the upcoming device on the MIIT certification database of China. The listing also points out the dual satellite connectivity support.

Honor Magic 7 RSR – MIIT Certification
The Honor Magic 7 RSR smartphone bears the model number – ‘PTP-AN20′ and has been certified by the MIIT authority with license number – ’00-E219-249230’. The certification validity will be till the 4th of November 2026, and the device is revealed to support Tiantong and Beidou dual satellite communication support, along with 5G/4G/3G/2G network connectivity.
Just to add, with the same model number, two months back, the Magic 7 RSR had also made its appearance on the 3C certification platform as well.
Speaking more, Honor’s Magic 7 RSR smartphone will be featuring the Flyline Porsche design and will sport a projected hexagonal camera module at its rear. It will also be available in two color choices – Provence Purple and Agate Gray.
Other expected/revealed specs include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 6.8″ LTPO quad-curved display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP(main, OV50K, OIS, variable aperture, LOFIC, 1/1.3″) + 50MP(ultrawide) + 200MP(periscope telephoto, 3x) triple rear camera unit, 50MP AON selfie camera, 3D ToF sensor, 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging features, single-point ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and an IP68/IP69 rated body.
As the launch time frame is quite near, more updates can be expected in the coming few days, and with its official launch next month, in December 2024, we will be able to confirm its price and availability details.
