Honour’s Magic 7 Series Tipped for October Debut
Honour launched the Magic 6 series in January of this year in its home country China and later released it globally. However, there have always been rumours that Honour would launch the next Magic series soon. Well, this ‘soon’ wasn’t expected; according to DCS, Honour may launch the Magic 7 series sooner than anticipated.
As per DCS, we may see the launch happening in October itself, which is just days away, as September is about to end. One more interesting fact: DCS has revealed that the series will probably include the standard variant and a Pro variant for the October launch. Also, an Ultra variant will be coming after the new year. Though he didn’t mention exactly when, it could possibly happen in January or February.
Recent images have revealed the front and side views of the device, presumably the Honour Magic 7 Pro. The front features a slightly curved display with round edges and a pill-shaped cutout at the top. The side houses volume and power buttons, whilst the bezels appear thick. The bottom side suggests a USB Type-C port and speaker grille.
Regarding specifications, a recent CNMO report suggests that the device may sport a 6.82-inch OLED micro-curved display supporting 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 8T LTPO technology. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, paired with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5x RAM. The front camera is expected to be a 50MP sensor, whilst the rear may feature a triple camera system: a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 50MP telephoto lens.
The device is expected to be backed by a 5800mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging and 66W wireless charging. Other anticipated features include IP68/69 rating, single-point ultrasonic unlocking, 2D face recognition, Honour Eagle Snap 3.0, satellite communication, and more.
This device is expected to make its debut in October, aligning with the earlier launch timeline predictions.
