Huawei Watch 5 Smartwatch Models Receives the TUV SUD Certification

Following their earlier TDRA certification from UAE, Huawei Watch 5 smartwatch models carrying the model numbers of ‘RTS-AL00’ and ‘SOC-AL00’ have now been certified by the TUV SUD certification authority. Via the new certification listings, the build details of these Huawei Watch 5 models have been revealed.

Huawei Watch 5 (RTS-AL00 and SOC-AL00) – TUV SUD Certification

As mentioned, the Huawei Watch 5 models with the model numbers – ‘RTS-AL00’ and ‘SOC-AL00’ have now received the TUV SUD certification with the respective certificate numbers of ‘SG PSB-IV-13810’ and ‘SG PSB-IV-13770’. The two models have been listed on the certification database under the ‘Smartwatch’ section, and they will feature an IP69-rated body with Class III protection. This means, these upcoming Huawei Watch 5 models will offer great protection against dust and water, and will operate at low voltage.

Speaking more, the Huawei Watch 5 series that is said consist of the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro devices is expected to be unveiled in the second quarter of this year (Q2 2025), at a possible ‘Summer New Product Launch Event’.

About the standard Watch 5, the ‘RTS-AL00’ and ‘SOC-AL00’ models are believed to be two size variants, and are both going to support cellular network connectivity. A new design language, thin and light body, improved sensor array, smart AI capabilities, HarmonyOS Next, and better battery backup are a few of its other expected specifications. To add, six color choices are also suggested to be offered for the Huawei Watch 5 series devices.
