Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro now spotted on SDPPI and TUV certification with model number VLI-B29
Just yesterday, the Huawei Watch GT 5 was spotted on the Indonesian SDPPI, 3C, and TUV certification sites with the model number “VLI-B19”. However, the 3C certification also listed another model number, “VLI-B29”. At that time, I thought it might be another size variant of the GT 5. But now, the Indonesian SDPPI certification has cleared the confusion, confirming that the Pro variant will be launching as well.

If you look at the screenshot below, you will see the model number “VLI-B29” listed, with the moniker next to it being the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro. The listing also indicates that it was approved today, 24th July 2024. Aside from revealing the moniker, the SDPPI certification does not provide any details regarding the specifications. However, this same model number has been listed on the TUV certification, which reveals the IP rating it will come with.
On the TUV certification, it states that the Pro variant will come with an IP68 rating, just like the vanilla variant we spotted yesterday. This means both the vanilla and Pro variants will be water-resistant in fresh water and can stay submerged for 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 meters. Plus the watches will also be protected from dust, so you likely won’t need to buy extra cases or covers.
Also, both smartwatches may support 18W fast charging as per the 3C certification. This new discovery suggests that both the vanilla and Pro variants will be launching in China and the global markets.
