Huawei’s Watch 5 Smartwatch Again Spotted on the TDRA Database, But With a Different Model Number
One among the leading Chinese consumer electronics makers – Huawei is believed to soon prepare itself for the launch of the next Watch 5 series which is expected to consist of the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro models. The expected launch time frame is scheduled in Q2 2025, and the brand could unveil its latest Watch 5 series at a possible ‘Summer New Product Launch Event’.
The standard Watch 5 smartwatch was earlier spotted on the TDRA certification database, following which it has again been spotted on the same certification platform carrying a different model number. Read more about the update below.
Huawei Watch 5 (RTS-AL00) – TDRA Certification
As mentioned, it was the Huawei Watch 5 smartwatch with the model number – ‘SOC-AL00’ that was earlier certified by the TDRA authority, and the newly-spotted model bears the model number – ‘RTS-AL00’. The ‘SOC-AL00’ and ‘RTS-AL00’ models of the Huawei Watch 5 smartwatch have received the TDRA certification with the type approval code of ‘ER42369/25’ and ‘ER42724/25’, and the two are categorized as GSM modules, meaning they both support cellular network connectivity making use of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications).
Apart from these above mentioned details, nothing more has been revealed via the TDRA database.
Speaking more, from what can be assumed, the ‘RTS-AL00’ and ‘SOC-AL00’ models could be two size variants of the same Huawei Watch 5 device. Other expected specs of the device as per reports are its new and distinct design language, thin and light-weight body, upgraded sensor array, HarmonyOS Next, smart AI capabilities, and improved battery life. To add, Huawei’s Watch 5 series is also said to offer six different color variants too.
