Infinix Note 40s Spotted on Google Play Console with Helio G99 Chipset

The Infinix Note 40 series was launched in March of this year, and its newest member, the Note 40s, was recently spotted on several certifications including SDPPI, NBTC, FCC, Bluetooth SIG, WIFI Alliance, and EEC. These certifications revealed some key specifications of the smartphone. However, the processor remained unknown until it was recently spotted on the Google Play Console. The listing on Google Play has provided more insights into the hardware that will power this smartphone.

The Note 40s has been listed on the Google Play Console with the model number “X6850B”. Further examination of the listing reveals the chipset model number “MTK6789”, which corresponds to the Helio G99 SoC, though it could also be the G99 Ultimate.

This chipset features a total of 8 cores, with 2 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, 6 cores clocked at 2 GHz, and a Mali G57 GPU running at 1068 MHz. Other key details revealed include a screen resolution of 1080×2346 pixels with a screen density of 480 (xxhdpi), Android 14 OS out of the box, and 8GB of RAM.

The Google Play Console listing for the Infinix Note 40s also includes a placeholder image. From this image, it appears that the device may come with a curved display and a punch-hole camera. Additionally, the volume rocker and power button are visible on the right edge of the smartphone.

Previous certifications have revealed additional specifications, including Bluetooth version 5.3, an Obsidian Black color option, and a storage configuration of 12GB/256GB. The device will also support Dual-Band WiFi. Other connectivity options include LTE, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, FM Receiver, NFC, and WPT network connectivity options.

Given its appearance on multiple certifications and now on the Google Play Console, the launch of the Infinix Note 40s seems imminent.
