Infinix Note 40X 5G clears BIS Certification, India launch seems imminent
By past certifications, we already knew that Infinix would be adding a new smartphone to the Note 40 Series called the Infinix Note 40X 5G. Today, however, it has been spotted again on the BIS certification, suggesting a launch in India. I will discuss this in detail below.
Infinix Note 40X 5G BIS
This smartphone has been listed with the model number “X6838” and the date of grant shown is 5th July. Though it doesn’t reveal the moniker, the earlier SIRIM and Google Play Console listings have both identified it as the Infinix Note 40X 5G. The BIS certification hints towards its India launch, but aside from this, it doesn’t reveal much in terms of specs or features.
We already know some key specs it will come with thanks to earlier listings. For instance, the Google Play Console revealed that it will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, run Android 14 out of the box, have at least 12GB RAM, and a screen resolution of 1080×2460 with a screen density of 480 xxhdpi. Another key certification it cleared was the FCC and TUV. Both FCC and TUV revealed the battery capacity to be 4900 mAh (likely to be marketed as 5000 mAh). The FCC also disclosed that this smartphone will have an 8GB+256GB variant, which will support 18W fast charging.
Additionally, the design schematics revealed via the FCC show a triple circular camera ring placed on a square camera module. Although Infinix hasn’t shared any details regarding this smartphone yet, one thing is for sure: we may hear something soon from the brand regarding this device.
