Infinix Note 40X 5G spotted on multiple certifications, may come with Dimensity 6100+ SOC

Infinix has already revealed the Note 40 Series lineup in the global market, and recently, the Note 40s was also spotted on the company’s website. Now, it seems that another member will soon join the lineup: the Infinix Note 40X 5G. This upcoming model has been spotted on multiple certification websites, including SIRIM, TUV, FCC, and the Google Play Console. The SIRIM certification confirms the name, while the TUV, FCC, and Google Play Console certifications reveal the smartphone’s specifications.

Here’s more about it.

Infinix Note 40X 5G

Let’s start with the SIRIM certification. It has appeared with the model number “X6838” and shows the moniker as Infinix Note 40X 5G. This indicates that the smartphone may launch in the Malaysian market soon. That is all that has been discovered via this SIRIM certification.

After discovering it on SIRIM, I found it listed on the Google Play Console with the same model number, “X6838.” The Google Play listing reveals that the system on a chip (SoC) has the model number “Mediatek MT6835,” which corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. The SoC features a total of 8 cores, with 2 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and the remaining 6 cores clocked at 2.0GHz, matching the core configuration of the Dimensity 6100+. Additionally, it will have a Mali-G57 GPU clocked at 962 MHz onboard.

The listing indicates that the Infinix Note 40X 5G will run on Android 14 OS out of the box and may come with at least 12GB of RAM. The screen size shown in the listing is 1080×2460 with a screen density of 480 xxhdpi.

The placeholder image in the listing reveals that the Infinix Note 40X 5G will have the power button and volume rocker located on the right edge. The screen appears to have a punch-hole layout with a thick chin.

Additionally, the same model number “X6838” is listed on the TUV certification, indicating a battery capacity of 4900 mAh (likely to be marketed as 5000 mAh). Lastly, the FCC certification provides further details about this smartphone.

Through the FCC certification, we know that the Infinix Note 40X 5G will also have NFC support and come with Wi-Fi 5. The same battery capacity of 4900 mAh is listed on the FCC. Additionally, the smartphone was tested with an adapter bearing the model number “U18XSA,” which supports 18W charging. The FCC also revealed one of the memory configurations, which is 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It seems that these certifications have collectively unveiled almost everything about this smartphone.

Additionally, the back schematics shown in the FCC do not match the other Note 40 Series smartphones but instead share similarities with the recently released Infinix Smart 8 Series smartphones.

Infinix has not revealed anything about this smartphone currently, but since it has appeared on these certifications, we can expect some sort of announcement soon.
