Infinix Zero 40 5G spotted on Google Play Console and TUV, processor and battery specs revealed

We recently reported that Infinix is gearing up to launch two new smartphones under its Zero series: the Zero 40 4G and the Zero 40 5G. While the Zero 40 4G had previously appeared on the Google Play Console listing along with TUV certification, we have now spotted its 5G variant on the Google Play Console listing with TUV certification as well. I will discuss this in more detail below.

Infinix Zero 40 5G Google Play Console and TUV

Just to recall, the Infinix Zero 40 5G was earlier sighted on the FCC and Geekbench databases with the model number “X6861”. The Geekbench listing revealed it to be powered by the Dimensity 8200 and will boot from Android 14 OS out of the box. Once again, this same model number has been spotted on the Google Play Console listing, with the moniker Infinix Zero 40 5G.

The listing shows the codename of the SoC as MediaTek MT6896Z/CZA, which corresponds to the Dimensity 8200 paired with a Mali G610 GPU clocked at 950MHz. If you recall, Infinix GT 20 Pro was also spotted on the Google Play Console with the same SoC codename “MT6896Z/CZA.” However, it later came out with the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate, and I think the Zero 40 5G may also come with the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate.

Furthermore, the listing shows the CPU has three clusters: one core clocked at 3.1 GHz, three cores clocked at 3 GHz, and four cores clocked at 2 GHz. The variant which has appeared on the listing has 12GB of RAM.

The screen resolution revealed in the listing is 1080×2436 with a pixel density of 480 DPI. This screen size is similar to what we have seen in the 4G variant’s Google Play Console listing.

The next certification it has achieved is the TUV certification. Here, the same model number “X6861” is present but does not show the moniker. The TUV certification reveals the battery capacity to be 4,900 mAh, which is the same as that of the 4G variant.
