Motorola Razr 50s Ultra Appears on Wireless Power Consortium with Design Matching Razr 50 Ultra
We’ve been discussing the Razr 50s, which was recently spotted on the Google Play Console-supported devices list. Initially, we didn’t expect there would be an Ultra variant, but it now seems that, just like the recently released Razr 50 series, the Razr 50s will indeed have an Ultra model as well.
Motorola Razr 50s Ultra spotted on Wireless Power Consortium and SGS Fimko
The Motorola Razr 50s Ultra has been spotted on both the Wireless Power Consortium and SGS Fimko websites. According to a report from 91Mobiles, the design has been revealed through the Wireless Power Consortium listing. The certification provides the first look at the upcoming Razr 50s Ultra, and upon closer inspection, it appears strikingly similar to the Razr 50 Ultra.
The Wireless Power Consortium listing also reveals that the Razr 50s Ultra may support 15W fast wireless charging. Meanwhile, the SGS Fimko certification lists multiple model numbers: “XT2451-1, XT2451-2, XT2451-3, XT2451-4, XT2451-5, and XT2451-6,” and indicates that the device may support 44W fast wired charging.
Notably, the Razr 50 Ultra also featured similar charging specs with 15W wireless and 45W wired charging. This leads me to believe that the Razr 50s series could be intended for the South Korean market, as the Razr 50 series, launched globally, has not yet been released there.
It seems likely that this may simply be a rebranding strategy for the South Korean market, similar to the approach Samsung has taken with its product lines. But it’s too early for me to make any guesses and hopefully more details will soon be revealed officially by Motorola.
