Ola may launch their new Electric 3-wheeler ‘Raahi’ in the upcoming months, with emphasis on more space and conveniency

Ola Electric may launch its new EV 3W (Electric 3-wheeler) within the next 3-4 months. Recently, pics and videos of the upcoming vehicle got leaked on the Internet, which revealed some exciting features of the vehicle. According to reports, the upcoming vehicle is tentatively named ‘Raahi’, which in Hindi means ‘traveler’.

Ola seems to be gearing up with minimal touches on the design. Focus has been noticed on upgrading the space and practicality of the vehicle. The front is incorporated with square headlights, a large windshield, and an A-pillar-mounted ORVMS. Additionally, doors were noticed on the vehicle which would add a new layer of cabin safety.

Ola is aiming to bestow the vehicle with category-first features, which would cater to more space and convenient alternatives to existing electric 3-wheelers. Possibility of further advancements including air conditioning are also possible for the vehicle according to reports.

Reports further suggest that the new Ola EV 3W might also get a goods carrier variant. This would feature a sizeable loading bay, which would be customizable according to one’s needs.

Other players in the electric 3W market, with which the Ola EV 3W will land up in competition after its launch include the likes of Mahindra Treo, Piaggio Ape e-city, and Bajaj RE. With the development and launch of their new EV, Ola aims to enter the commercial vehicle segment.

There hasn’t been any official mention of the possible prices at which the vehicle will be launched. However, there’s a possibility of the vehicle getting launched around the price segment of Rs 2 lakh – Rs 3.5 lakh, as other competitors like Mahindra, Piaggio, and Bajaj’s prices fall in this segment. With Ola aiming to compete, we can expect a lower price than products like Bajaj’s electric 3-wheeler whose price starts from about Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
