OnePlus 13R Smartphone Global Model Makes its Appearance on FCC Database Revealing Few Key Specs
The Chinese leading consumer electronics maker, OnePlus, has officially unveiled its 13 flagship device in its home market and the Ace 5 series launch is confirmed to take place next month in the country. Following the debut of the Ace 5 series in China, the global market is expecting the arrival of the brand’s 13 and 13R smartphones early next year, and the launch is likely to take place in the month of January 2025.
Now, we have spotted the global model of the upcoming OnePlus 13R smartphone on the FCC certification database of the US, and via its listing, certain key specifications of the device have been pointed out. Let’s look more into it.
OnePlus 13R – FCC Certification
The upcoming OnePlus 13R global model bears the model number – ‘CPH2647’ and has received the FCC certification with FCC ID – ‘2ABZ2-OP23869’. It has been categorized as a ‘Mobile Phone’ with issue date mentioned as ‘2nd October 2024’.
Coming to the revealed specs, the database suggests that the smartphone will run on the OxygenOS 15.0 custom skin (based on Android 15) and is expected to pack a 5860 mAh rated battery (probably 6000 mAh typical value battery). It is also revealed to support an 80W wired fast charge feature as well (and a charging adapter with model number – ‘VCB8OAUH’ is listed along with the smartphone).
In terms of the connectivity specs, the OnePlus 13R will support 2G/3G/4G/5G network connectivity, dual SIM slot, Wifi 7 with 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be support, Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) with version 5.4, and NFC. It should be noted that the device won’t support VoNR (Voice over New Radio), but will support VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, and VoIP.
To add, the OnePlus 13R late last month was also spotted on the SIRIM certification database with a different model number of ‘CPH2645’. In the global market, the device is also tipped to be offered in 12GB/256GB storage option and Nebula Noir and Astral Trail colors. As already known, it is believed to be the re-branded version of the Ace 5 smartphone.
In related news, as mentioned above, OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the Ace 5 series for next month in December 2024 and unlike before, we may be witnessing the release of the vanilla Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro device next month itself. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor has also been teased. Following this, recently we also saw a leaked render image of the Ace 5 device notably with ceramic build, circular rear camera module, and flat display.
Speaking of the expected specs of the Ace 5/13R, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip (no leading version), 6.78″ flat 1.5K OLED display, 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear camera system, 16MP selfie camera, 6000 mAh (typical value) battery, and 80W wired fast charge support are expected as per new updates.
