Oppo A3 Vitality Edition coming soon, spotted on China Telecom Authority
Oppo recently launched the Oppo A3 in its home country China right after introducing the Oppo A3 Pro. Now, it seems there will be a third addition to this series, likely called the Oppo A3 Vitality Edition 5G. This new smartphone has been spotted on the Chinese Telecom Authority, which has revealed more details about it. I will share all the information below.
Oppo A3 Vitality Edition 5G China Telecom
It is listed with the model number “PKD110” and shows the moniker as Oppo A3 Vitality Edition 5G. However, this same model number appeared on the TENAA certification a few months back, and on the Google Play Console supported devices list, it showed the moniker Oppo A3 Energy 5G. Since “Vitality” is a synonym for “Energy,” the TENAA listing was indeed for this smartphone.
The China Telecom listing further reveals the chipset model number “MT6835T,” which corresponds to the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. Additionally, it shows that the smartphone will run on Android 14 OS out of the box and will have a plastic frame. Regarding the display, it will feature a 6.67″ screen with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels. The device’s dimensions are 165.79×76.14×7.68 mm, and it will weigh 185.7 grams.
The camera section will feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The front selfie shooter will come with an 8MP sensor.
It will pack a 5100 mAh battery and come with GPS support, a direction sensor, light sensor, gravity sensor, altitude sensor, distance sensor, USB Type-C, Bluetooth, and WiFi. Unfortunately, it will not have NFC support, according to the China Telecom listing.
Looking at these renders and the specs above, it reminds me of the Oppo A3 Pro, which was recently launched in the Indian market. Even the chipset is the same as that of the Indian Oppo A3 Pro. So, it is rather safe to assume that this new device is going to be rebranded Oppo A3 Pro (Indian Variant).
Pricing and AVaiulability
The listing on China Telecom shows the release date as 2nd August 2024 and reveals the colour options: Black Sea of Fog, Green Bamboo Forest, and Purple Crescent Moon.
It will be available with a single RAM option but in two storage variants:
- 12GB + 256GB – 1,999 Yuan
- 12GB + 512GB – 2,299 Yuan
Additionally, it will support expandable memory of up to 2TB via a microSD card. Oppo hasn’t shared any details regarding its launch, but hopefully, an announcement will be made soon.
