QR Code Feature Appears For Some Business Listings On Google Maps In US; Might Soon Be Officially Rolled Out For Users

Navigating a particular location through Google Maps sometimes becomes quite a hectic and tedious task especially if it’s a business location with a common name or in some distant or unknown area. Well, Google now seems to provide an easier navigation solution for various businesses and also for travelers.

Joy Hawkins on the X platform has today shared a screenshot of a desktop screen that shows the name of the particular business on Google Maps along with a QR code so that a user can easily scan the QR code for the location and reach the exact business location without wandering around.

It is said that these QR codes appear for some business listings on Google Maps in the US. Seems like this QR code feature is currently in the testing phase and might soon be implemented for all the users. This QR code feature will replace the Send to Phone option which currently appears on Google Maps while searching for a particular location on a desktop.

This QR code option on Google Maps is a very cool and helpful feature as users can access precise location details instantly while even promoting businesses if you are the owner of a particular business, then using the QR code you can facilitate the search process for your customers. Let’s see when this new option will be released officially for the users for now the option is only visible to some US users only.
