Realme GT 7 Pro could be first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone for global market

Yesterday, Realme Vice President, Chase Xu confirmed that the brand will launch the Realme GT 7 Pro in India later this year. Now, tipster Digital Chat Station has shed a few more details about the device.

Realme is currently developing the Realme GT 6 for the global market. According to reports, this phone is a rebranded version of the Realme GT Neo 6, which made its debut with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip in China. DCS revealed that the Realme GT 7 Pro will have a unified name for the Chinese and global markets.

Last year, Realme launched the Realme GT 5 Pro in December 2023 in China. Therefore, it is probable that Realme will unveil the Realme GT 7 Pro in China at the same time this year. Because it will be a next-generation flagship phone, it will most likely feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.

Several reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, which will debut in October of this year in China, will be the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. According to DCS, the Realme GT 7 Pro will be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone for the global market. He added that its key features include a large silicon-anode battery and periscope imaging.

To recall, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro debuted in October 2023 as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones, while the iQOO 12 was the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone for the global market. However, this year it seems that the Realme GT 7 Pro is poised to be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone available globally.
