Redmi Buds 6 Youth Edition spotted on several certification websites, launch looks imminent

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is expanding the Redmi Buds 6 series with a new Redmi Buds 6 Youth Edition. This is evident as it has been spotted on several key certification websites, hinting at an imminent launch. Screenshots from several certifications are included below.

Redmi Buds 6 Youth Edition

This upcoming earbud was first sighted on Bluetooth SIG with the model number “M2349E1”. The Bluetooth SIG listing reveals that they will come with Bluetooth version 5.3 and confirms the moniker as Redmi Buds 6 Youth Edition. Notably, Redmi did not launch a Youth Edition in the Redmi Buds 5 series, so it seems the Youth Edition is again returning with the Redmi Buds 6 Series.

Furthermore, the same model number has been spotted on the TDRA, IMDA, and SDPPI certifications, suggesting a launch in the UAE and Indonesia. However, these telecom certifications do not reveal much about the hardware specifications.

Interestingly, the TUV listing indicates that the charging case will have a 480 mAh battery.

Additionally, the BIS (India) certification reveals a second model number, “M2350E1”, and shows a POCO marking along with Redmi. This suggests that the Redmi Buds 6 Youth Edition might also be released as rebranded POCO earbuds. However, there is currently no information regarding the moniker under the POCO branding.

Moreover, the Redmi Buds 6 Youth Edition will be launched in the Chinese market. Similar to how the Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition was launched globally as Redmi Buds 4 Lite, it is likely that we will see the Redmi Buds 6 Lite coming soon to global markets.
