Redmi K80 Series Tipped to Launch Next Month in China; Said to be Offered in Competitive Price Points
While recent reports suggested to the price hike in the next Redmi K80 series models, a new update from a tipster on the Weibo platform has revealed that the Redmi K80 series devices might be surprising customers with their competitive pricing. In related news, the tipster has again shared some of the expected specifications of the Redmi K80 series, along with few updates concerning sub-flagships of other brands.

Redmi K80 Series – Tipped to Launch Next Month
Redmi’s K80 series this time is said to include only two models – the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro, and as per the update by tipster Smart Pikachu, the series will probably have its debut next month, in November 2024. His post also reads that instead of Realme, this time the Redmi-branded sub-flagships may arrive first to the market, and will be offered at competitive prices. He also adds that the price of the standard K80 model will surprise consumers, and the Redmi K80 Pro device will be featuring a pure straight screen.
Following the above update, Smart Pikachu revealed that more sub-flagship devices will be having their launch in the months of November and December 2024. Additionally, he again points out that the Redmi K80 smartphone that is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 2K-resolution OLED display is likely going to be a price killer, meaning it will be offered at a lower price when compared with its competitors. The device is revealed to compete with the OnePlus Ace 5, Realme GT Neo 7, and iQOO Neo 10 that are tipped with 1.5K OLED display screens and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
The Redmi K80 Pro that is to compete with OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and iQOO Neo 10 Pro is said to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and support ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader and wireless charging. To add, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and iQOO Neo 10 Pro are tipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 chips respectively. Other reports also revealed specs like 2K OLED 120Hz display, 50MP 3x optical zoom camera, 6000 mAh battery, and 100W fast charge support for the Redmi K80 Pro smartphone.
The model numbers and codenames of the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro devices were also recently shared and it was understood that unlike previous Redmi K-series devices that were China-exclusives, the upcoming Redmi K80 series smartphones may arrive in the global market as well.
