Redmi Pad Pro 5G China variant spotted on Tenaa certification revealing no e-Sim support
The Redmi Pad Pro (Wi-Fi) variant has now been introduced in both China and the global market excluding India. And that’s not all—there’s also a 5G variant of the Redmi Pad Pro on the horizon. Yesterday, Xiaomi’s Founder and CEO, Lei Jun, teased its launch in an X post. In typical Xiaomi fashion, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G will first be launched in China before making its way to global markets.
We’ve now spotted the Chinese variant of the Redmi Pad Pro 5G on the Tenaa certification, revealing some of its specs. Interestingly, the listing showcases a detail that differs from the previous leak. I’ll discuss these further.
Redmi Pad Pro 5G Tenaa certification
Before I share the specs from Tenaa, let me provide some details about the recent leak. Earlier, a report by Android Headlines revealed that the Redmi Pad Pro 5G will have the following model numbers: 24074RPD2G (Global), 24074RPD2I (India), and 24074RPD2C (China). The report also claimed that the device would feature e-SIM connectivity. Now, the model number “24074RPD2C” has been spotted on the Tenaa certification.
Here’s the interesting part: even Xiaomi’s Founder and CEO, Lei Jun, stated that a physical SIM card is required to get 5G cellular connectivity. Tenaa confirms this, showing that support for e-SIM is a definitive “NO”.
In terms of connectivity, the device will support Band 78 and Band 41 under the NR-NSA band, while under the NR-SA band, it will support Band 78, Band 41, Band 28, N1, N5, N8, and 2110-2155MHz. It will also feature dual SIM capability. Other connectivity features include GPS, AGPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and WLAN.
Additionally, the battery size listed is 4900 mAh. Furthermore, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G has been sighted on Google Play Console which revealed it will come with the same specs as that of the Redmi Pad Pro(Wifi).
The front design is also revealed, which further amplifies that it will be similar to its sibling.
