Redmi Pad SE 8.7 (WiFi) Variant model number revealed via FCC Listing, also Spotted on EEC

Redmi has a new tablet under its sleeves called the Redmi Pad SE 8.7. Earlier, the LTE variant of this upcoming tablet was spotted on the IMEI database, as well as IMDA and EEC certifications. Hence, I assumed only the LTE variant would be launched soon. However, yesterday, a new model number “24075RP89G” appeared on the IMDA certification as a tablet under the Redmi branding, along with the Xiaomi 14T. The listing also revealed that the tablet will be a non-LTE variant but did not disclose the moniker.

Redmi pad SE 8.7 (Wifi) on FCC and EEC

We now bring you the FCC listing, which has provided more insights into this upcoming tablet. Firstly, it has been listed with the model number “24075RP89G”, the same as on the IMDA. The FCC listing reveals that it will come with WiFi 5 and Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14.

Further investigation revealed screengrabs from the tablet’s interface itself. These screengrabs disclosed the moniker as Redmi Pad SE 8.7 and indicated a storage option of 64GB. The “8.7” here likely refers to an 8.7-inch screen size.

Additionally, this same model number “24075RP89G” has been spotted on the EEC, hinting it will launch in Europe as well.

Regarding battery or other specifications, this certification did not reveal much. However, the 4G variant with the model number “24076RP19G” was also sighted on the FCC certification, featuring the same screengrabs of the interface. The 4G variant has two model numbers, “24076RP19G” and “24076RP19I”. Here, “G” refers to Global, and “I” refers to India. The starting four digits, “2407”, of these tablets suggest it may launch next month in July.

So, we only have 10 days left in June, and more leaks will likely reveal what this upcoming tablet will offer.
