Samsung Galaxy A06 now clears Malaysian SIRIM Certification

Samsung’s next A series smartphone, likely to be unveiled soon, is the Galaxy A06. Previously, we reported that this smartphone had been spotted on several key certifications. From those certifications, we now have a good idea of what will power this device. Additionally, it has now been spotted on the Malaysian SIRIM certification, which I will discuss further in this article.

Samsung Galaxy A06 SIRIM

We found this upcoming smartphone listed on the SIRIM certification with the model number “SM-A065F/DS.” Not only was the model number revealed, but the name was also confirmed to be Samsung Galaxy A06, with the “DS” at the end indicating it is a dual SIM device. This was approved today, 18th July 2024, with the approval code “RGQL/27H/0724/S(24-3164).” Unfortunately, regarding the specs, it’s a roadblock as SIRIM doesn’t provide any hardware or software specifications for the device.

However, our earlier findings have already revealed much about this smartphone. It will come with Dual Band WiFi 5, and the Geekbench database indicates that a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC will power it with at least 4GB of RAM and run on Android 14.

Looking at the specs, it seems clear that Samsung doesn’t want to leave the budget-friendly smartphone segment. It will be interesting to see how Samsung positions this smartphone in terms of pricing.
