Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Spotted On Geekbench Database With MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC; Launch Seems Imminent

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G made its debut last year while the year the company introduced a new variant for this smartphone. Samsung is now expected to soon unveil the successor of this smartphone- Galaxy A16 5G as the device has made its appearance on the Geekbench database.

Galaxy A16 5G: Geekbench listing

The smartphone was spotted with model number SM-A166P. It received 514 single-core score and 1464 multi-core score.

According to the listing, the device will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and offers 6GB RAM. However, the company will be introducing more RAM options for the users. It runs on Android 14 OS.

Other than this no other detail regarding the device is revealed, but previously Galaxy A16 batteries were spotted on the BIS certification website. Galaxy A16 was also spotted on the EE website which revealed that the device will be arriving with both 4G and 5G variants with a total of eight variants (SM-A1660, SM-A166B, SM-A166E, SM-A166M, SM-A166P, SM-A166U, SM-A165F, SM-A165F DSB). It is said that the model numbers that have ‘6’ before the last letter or number belong to 5G variants while the ones that have ‘5’ are for 4G variants.

The upcoming Galaxy A16 5G is expected to arrive with some upgrades over its predecessor, Galaxy A15 5G. In the coming days, we might come across some more details regarding the specs and launch timeline of this device.
