Samsung Galaxy A16 spotted on TUV certification revealing charging specs

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A16 smartphone will soon be unveiled in both global and Indian markets. Recently, it was spotted on the Geekbench database, revealing two versions: one powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC, and another featuring the Dimensity 6300 SoC. Additionally, Samsung is working on a 4G variant, although information about this version remains limited for the time being.

While researching further details, The Tech Outlook team discovered that the Galaxy A16 has appeared on the TUV certification database, revealing several model numbers and providing insights into its expected charging specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 is listed under several model numbers, including SM-A166B/DS, SM-A1660, SM-A166E/DS, SM-A166M/DS, and SM-A166M, which likely correspond to different regional versions. The model numbers ending with “DS” — specifically SM-A166B/DS, SM-A166E/DS, and SM-A166M/DS — indicate that these versions will support dual SIM functionality. This suggests that Samsung is tailoring the phone for various markets, some of which will have the option for dual SIM use.

The TUV certification for the Samsung Galaxy A16 reveals that it will support 25W fast charging (9V at 2.77A). However, it does not provide any details about the battery capacity or other related specifications at this time.
