Samsung Galaxy M05 India launch Imminent, spotted on Amazon India

A few days ago, there was a report about the Galaxy M05 support page going live, and now it has been listed on Amazon India, revealing almost everything from its specs to its design. However, the listing does not reveal the launch date or pricing.

Samsung Galaxy M05 Amazon Early Listing

According to the Amazon listing, the Galaxy M05 will feature a 6.7″ HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. As expected for a budget smartphone, it will be powered by the Helio G85 SoC and will run OneUI 6, based on Android 14. The listing also confirms that the device will receive two Android OS upgrades and four years of security patch updates.

Looking at the design, the front features an Infinity U-shaped notch for the selfie camera, along with a thick chin at the bottom. The volume rocker and power button are positioned on the right edge of the smartphone.

The top header shows the phone in a mint colour with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. However, further down, under the ‘About Item’ section, it mentions an 8GB RAM variant with RAM Plus (Virtual RAM) and expandable storage of up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The rear will feature a dual-camera setup with two ring-shaped cutouts housing the camera units, placed one above the other, with an LED flash positioned next to the circular rings. This setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, while the front will house an 8MP selfie camera. The device will pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging, though, as usual, no charger will be included in the box. Face Unlock is also supported.

Connectivity options include Dual SIM, a 3.5mm audio jack, built-in GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

In terms of pricing, I expect Samsung to position the Galaxy M05 around the ₹8,000–₹9,000 range, as this segment faces tough competition from brands like Infinix, Vivo, and Tecno.
