Samsung Galaxy Wide7 spotted on Google Play Console with similar specs of Galaxy M15 5G
We recently reported that Samsung is planning to launch a smartphone in the South Korean market under its Wide series. It appears that Samsung is now moving forward in this direction, as we have spotted the device on the Google Play Console listing. Previously, Galaxy Wide7 was seen on the supported devices list, which didn’t reveal any specifications but showed a model number very similar to the Galaxy M15 5G, launched this year in the global market. So we speculated that it may be coming as a rebranded Galaxy M15 5G for the South Korean market. Rest I will discuss in this article below.
Samsung Galaxy Wide7 Google Play Console
From the Google Play Console supported devices list, its model number was revealed as “SM-M156S.” However, this model number is not present in the current listing, which only includes the moniker. The listing reveals that the SoC powering this smartphone will be the MediaTek MT6835V/ZA, which is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+, paired with a Mali G57 GPU. It has two CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six cores clocked at 2GHz. The device will run on Android 14 OS out of the box and is expected to come in three RAM options: 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB.
The screen size shown here is 1080×2340 with a pixel density of 450 DPI. As stated above, this matches what we have seen in the Galaxy M15 5G. Additionally, after four years, Samsung is set to launch a smartphone in its Wide series in South Korea. Although there is no confirmed launch timeline at this time, we can expect it to happen soon.
