TECNO Phantom V Fold 2 and V Flip 2 BIS
There are two model numbers listed on the Indian BIS certification, “AE10” and “AE11,” under the TECNO branding. Although the specific names aren’t present on this certification, earlier listings have revealed that the AE10 corresponds to the TECNO Phantom V Fold 2, while the AE11 pertains to the Phantom V Flip 2. Apart from the model numbers, the certification does not provide any additional specifications.
Earlier listings on the Google Play Console revealed that the Phantom V Fold 2 might come with a chipset codenamed “MediaTek MT6983Z/TCZA,” which shares many similarities with the Dimensity 9000+. This is the same chipset that powers its predecessor. The Geekbench listing also confirmed this information, additionally revealing that the devices might ship with Android 14 OS out of the box, with at least 12GB of RAM.
Additionally, the TUV listing disclosed a dual battery size of 5610 mAh (2973 mAh + 2637 mAh). It is worth mentioning that the Phantom V Fold 2 5G was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG with two names for the same model number, “AE10”: TECNO Phantom V Fold 2 5G and TECNO Phantom V2 Fold 5G. This suggests the possibility of different names in different countries.
Now, let’s talk about the V Flip 2 5G, which was recently discovered on the FCC certification. The FCC certification revealed that the device might come with a dual battery configuration. The capacity was listed as 3410mAh + 1180mAh, totaling 4590mAh, with 70W fast charging support. The listing also disclosed one of the memory options, which is 8GB + 256GB.
The same battery capacity was confirmed on the TUV certification, confirming the dual battery configuration (3410mAh + 1180mAh).
Furthermore, the Geekbench listing revealed that the V Flip 2 5G might run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC with Android 14 OS on top. All that remains is the official announcement from TECNO. Both devices have also appeared on the EEC certification, hinting towards its European launch also.
