Tecno’s Next Flip Smartphone Will Not Be Called Phantom V Flip 2 But Phantom V2 Flip; Confirms SDPPI Listing

The smartphone brand Tecno unveiled its first flip smartphone- Phantom V Flip last year and now the company is rumored to be working on the successor of this device. While Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 has also been making rounds over the internet hinting towards its imminent launch.

Tecno device with model number AE11 has been spotted on FCC, BIS, TUV, Geekbench and EEC certification websites and it was earlier said that this company’s next flip smartphone which was assumed to be called Tecno Phantom V Flip 2. Well our recent discovery has revealed a different story regarding the moniker of this highly anticipated flip smartphone.

The device with model number AE11 has been spotted on SDPPI certification website which reveals that the device will be called Tecno Phantom V2 Flip 5G and not Tecno Phantom V Flip 2.

Though the listing does not reveal anything regarding the specs of this upcoming smartphone but it hints towards its imminent global launch.

Previous listings of Tecno Phantom V2 Flip 5G revealed that the device might come with a dual battery configuration. The capacity was listed as 3410mAh + 1180mAh, totaling 4590mAh, with 70W fast charging support. It was also disclosed to arrive with memory option 8GB + 256GB. It may come with MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC and run on Android 14 OS.
