Three New Small Straight Screen Phones Coming Next Year in the First Two Quarters, Claims Tipster

Following Vivo, more Chinese smartphone makers are believed to soon unveil their small screen smartphone models and a new update has arrived from a tipster on the Weibo platform that three such smartphone devices can be expected next year in the first two quarters. Additionally, the tipster has also suggested some of their key specs as well.

Three More New Small Straight Screen Phones Coming?

This update comes from Digital Chat Station who via his new Weibo update has pointed out that three new small straight screen phones are expected to be released in Q1 and Q2 of 2025, next year. He adds that these devices are probably going to feature 6.3″± displays with likely 1.5K resolution. In terms of the camera system, they may only have short focal lengths. Moreover, the three are said to use Snapdragon 8 Elite, Dimensity 9400, and Dimensity 9300+ chips. [Also, one of them is positioned as a mid-range model.]

To add, the tipster has also commented that the three devices are coming from smartphone brands that are on the top 5 list in China.

Based on what we already know from recent and older updates, the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered small screen device could be the OPPO Find X8 mini which this same tipster had tipped about last month. Digital Chat Station also reported recently that Xiaomi under its Redmi-branding wouldn’t be launching a small screen device next year in the first two quarters. The tipster also clarified that there is no Motorola device among the three mentioned small screen phones.

Apart from Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi, only Huawei and Honor are on the list of top 5 smartphone brands in China. Notably, Honor was in talks to launch a new small screen device two months back (wrongly thought to be the Honor 300 device). Also, the tech world is assuming that maybe the new small screen phones are launching under OnePlus (now OPPO subsidiary/sister brand), iQOO (Vivo subsidiary), and Xiaomi (as report only suggests that no Redmi-branded small screen is coming) brandings. Also, since it was an X200 Pro mini that was launched, an X200 mini is also being expected from users.

Let’s just wait for more updates to arrive, and with which, we’ll be able to confirm the other two smartphones that are coming early next year. So far, only the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Find X8 mini is believed to be the only known model.
