Upcoming ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra Appears on the SGS Certification Database: Charging Spec Revealed
Following the launch of the Zenfone 11 Ultra early this year, ASUS has already begun the work of its successor, the Zenfone 12 Ultra. Now, the upcoming device has been spotted on the SGS certification platform. The listing on the certification platform has also revealed a charging spec of the smartphone.

ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra – SGS Certification
ASUS unveiled its Zenfone 11 Ultra smartphone in the month of March 2024 and three months later, also launched a Green color variant of the same device. Its successor, the Zenfone 12 Ultra, was spotted previously on the IMEI database with the model number – ‘ASUSAI2501H’. On the SGS certification platform, the device bears the model number – ‘ASUSAI2501xxxx’, and has been certified with the certificate number – ‘FI-61515/M1’. As mentioned, the certification platform reveals that the upcoming device, just like its predecessor, would be supporting a 65W wired fast charging feature.
Also to note, country abbreviations of Australia, Canada, China, UK, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, New Zealand, and USA have been mentioned on the certification platform, suggesting of the launch of the Zenfone 12 Ultra device in the mentioned countries. Considering the launch of the predecessor, ASUS may be planning on a launch in Q1 2025 or around the same time, and this is indicative inside the model number – ‘2501’.
Looking at previous reports, the Zenfone 11 Ultra smartphone was very similar to the ROG Phone 8, likewise, the upcoming Zenfone 12 Ultra could be a clone or may show great similarities with the specifications and design of the ROG Phone 9. Also to add, the previous Zenfone 11 Ultra and ROG Phone 8 smartphones were powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, therefore the upcoming Zenfone 12 Ultra and ROG Phone 9 would probably be arriving equipped with the next Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship chipset of Qualcomm.
Coming to the ROG Phone 9, the device has also made it to the IMEI database, as well as on the Chinese CQC certification platform. Similar model numbers of ASUSAI2501A and ASUSAI2501C have also been attributed to the ROG Phone 9 smartphone. Specifications like the mentioned Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, 24GB/1TB storage model, 65W fast charging support, and an upgraded display panel are expected.
