Upcoming Lenovo Tab Wi-Fi Only and 4G Models Spotted on FCC and TDRA Certification Platforms
Lenovo seems to be planning on releasing a new tablet as this upcoming device has been spotted on the FCC and TDRA certification platforms. It is revealed to be offered as Wi-Fi only and 4G models, and both these have been listed on the two certification databases.
Here’s more about it.
Upcoming Lenovo Tab TB311FU(Wi-Fi Only) and TB311XU(4G) – FCC and TDRA Certifications
This upcoming Lenovo Tab device will be arriving as two models bearing model numbers – ‘TB311FU’ and ‘TB311XU’, and they are revealed to be the Wi-Fi only and 4G models of the upcoming tablet. Via the FCC database, it is understood that both these models will be supporting 2.4GHz & 5GHz dual band Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth, whereas the latter will come with 2G, 3G, and 4G network connectivity as well. Moreover, the device is suggested to feature a 10.1″ display, along with 8MP rear and 5MP selfie cameras. The tablet will also be offered in 4GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB/128GB EMMC storage.
The front and rear images of the tablet have also been revealed through the FCC listing. It is thus understood that the device will feature a flat display with quite thick bezels and a centrally aligned selfie camera (when held vertically/in landscape), and a pill-shaped camera module housing a single camera lens at the rear. The device is also suggested to come in a Bluish/Greenish color choice. The Lenovo branding is also present at the rear.
Coming to the TDRA listing, both the Wi-Fi only (TB311FU) and 4G (TB311XU) models have been certified with equipment registration numbers of ‘ER38282/24’ and ‘ER38281/24’ respectively. The certification validity will only be till the 13th of November 2027.
Initially, speculations were that this tablet could be a Tab M10 series tablet and may be following the Tab M10 Plus 3rd Gen and Tab M10 3rd Gen, however, a newer update is pointing to the cancellation of Tab M, Tab M Plus, Tab P, Tab P Plus, Tab P Pro, Tab K, and Tab K Plus naming, considering the launch of Lenovo Tab Extreme, Lenovo Tab Plus, and Legion Tab devices. It may be possible that the brand could bring a new naming scheme with Lenovo, Idea, Yoga, and Legion divisions. The recent SDPPI certification of the Legion Go S tablet again reaffirms this possibility. Also, the TB311FU is simply mentioned as Lenovo Tab with codenames – ‘poplar’ and ‘poplar_row_wifi’.
Stay tuned for more updates.
