Xiaomi’s next Redmi A5 smartphone has already been a part of several reports and followed by its IMDA certification from Singapore, this upcoming device has also now received Malaysia’s SIRIM certification. With its appearance on the SIRIM certification database, the launch in the Malaysian market has also been confirmed.

Redmi A5 – SIRIM Certification
The SIRIM-listed Redmi A5 smartphone bears the model number of ‘25028RN03A’ and it has been certified by the SIRIM certification authority with the type approval code of ‘RGQL/53I/0225/S(25-0463)’. Xiaomi’s Redmi A5 has been categorized under the ‘mobile phone’ section, and its moniker is noted on the database. Its SIRIM certification validity will be till the 16th of February 2030.
Speaking more, the Redmi A5 smartphone, apart from the SIRIM and IMDA certifications, was previously certified by the EEC, FCC, BIS, and TDRA certification authorities, and it has also been listed on the IMEI database. Also to add, the Redmi A5 is expected to be re-branded as the POCO C71 device too.
Via these above-mentioned listings, few of its key specs have been revealed and as per which, the Redmi A5 is expected to arrive in 3GB/64GB, 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB storage options. It is also expected to have the Android 15 based HyperOS 2.0 custom skin out of the box. Connectivity specs such as 4G/3G/2G network, dual band WiFi 5, Bluetooth with BR + EDR + LE, and optional NFC support are also revealed to be present.
All these certifications point out that the Redmi A5 smartphone’s launch is quite near and its model number (2502…) further reiterates the possibility. More updates can thus be expected in the coming days, which may also reveal its expected launch date as well. Stay tuned until then.
