Here’s more about it.
New Snapdragon 8s Elite Smartphone – Key Features Tipped
Based on the latest Weibo update from Digital Chat Station, this upcoming device will be featuring a relatively small 1.5K quad-curved display with equidistant bezels. The display is also pointed out to have a dual-hole dual-camera unit as well. At the rear, an upper left circular lens, upright telephoto camera, and image co-branding are present. A fiber-glass battery cover has also been tipped. Moreover, this device would be featuring impressive specifications too, as per the tipster.
While tipster Digital Station hasn’t mentioned anything about this device’s moniker in his post, the tech world has assumed it to be the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro smartphone. However, the tipster himself has commented stating that this is the Honor 400 Pro model [Considering the processors used in the previous models, this is again being reaffirmed].
Honor had unveiled its Honor 300 Pro device recently (December 2024) with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Its predecessors, the Honor 200 Pro (May 2024) was powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, while the Honor 100 Pro (November 2023) used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The three models were launched with about six months gap, meaning that the next Honor 400 Pro may debut by the first half of next year in 2025.
Speaking more, the first wave of Snapdragon 8s Elite-powered smartphones are expected to arrive around April 2025, and Xiaomi is also believed to be one among the early adopters of the upcoming chip. Stay tuned for more updates.
