Vivo V40 Lite series listed for pre-order on an Indonesian retailer, check details inside

I’m excited to break the news that the Vivo V40 Lite series is expected to launch soon, likely this very month. But before I get into this article, let me recap what we previously reported. According to our earlier coverage, both the 5G and 4G variants were certified by several certification websites. Additionally, both smartphones were spotted on the Geekbench database, giving us a glimpse of their potential specs. Also, this is a new Vivo V40 Lite 5G, different from the model that was launched earlier in Spain.

Now, in an exciting development, both devices have been listed for pre-order on an Indonesian retailer’s website. This information was brought to our attention by one of our followers on X. A big shoutout to Raihan Han for sharing this with us!

Now let me share the details that are found listed on that retailer

Finally, I have no complaints with Vivo this time. The design feels refreshing at last. The previous square rear camera setup was rather hard on the eyes. However, if you look at the images below for the 5G and 4G variants, their design has no noticeable difference.

The 5G variant comes in Violet, Black, and Silver, with the Black model appearing to feature a colour-changing back. Meanwhile, the 4G variant is likely to come in Violet and Silver options.

If you look at the rear camera design, it features a pill-shaped module with three circular cutouts. Two of these house the camera units, while the third includes an aura lighting feature. Next to the camera module, there are two LED flashes. According to the listing, the 5G variant will feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with 2x Zoom Algoritma HD Portrait, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide secondary sensor. The 4G variant, on the other hand, will come with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Both models will sport a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The processor details are missing from the current listing, but earlier Geekbench listings suggest the 5G variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, while the 4G variant is expected to feature the Snapdragon 685 4G. It’s best to wait for an official announcement to confirm these details

Additionally, the listing shows both variants equipped with a 5000mAh battery and 80W fast charging support. The 4G variant is available in two memory options: 8GB/128GB priced at IDR 3.299 million, and 8GB/256GB priced at IDR 3.399 million. The 5G variant is listed with a single memory option of 8GB/256GB, priced at IDR 4.299 million.

The listing also indicates that delivery is expected between 1st and 4th October, suggesting that an official announcement may be imminent.
