Vivo V40 with Model Number ‘V2348’ Spotted on Indian BIS Certification, Hinting at India Launch

Vivo has already released the Vivo V40 smartphone in the global market, and to my surprise, it didn’t come with a charger in the box. Now, Vivo is getting ready to launch this smartphone in the Indian market. We have spotted the model number “V2348” on the Indian BIS certification website, which features Vivo branding. This model number was approved on the 21st of June 2024.

Although the moniker isn’t present on this certification, its sighting on GCF, TDRA, Bluetooth SIG, IMDA, and NBTC has already revealed its moniker to be Vivo V40. The Vivo V40 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, similar to its Chinese counterpart, the Vivo S19. Most of the specs are similar, but the camera optics are a bit different. The Vivo V40 features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide secondary sensor with Aura lighting. For selfie lovers, the front has a 50MP selfie shooter.

Although it was released in Europe without a charger, let’s see if it will come with a charger for Indian users or not. Currently, Vivo hasn’t shared any details surrounding whether the V40 is coming to India. However, this sighting on the BIS is the first step toward its launch in the Indian market.
