Vivo Y28s 5G spotted on Google Play Console with MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ and 4GB RAM

Vivo has recently released the Vivo Y28 4G in Singapore and has two new smartphones under the Y28 series: the Y28s 5G and Y28e 5G, which have recently appeared on several certifications. Among these, the Y28s 5G has now been spotted on Google Play Console, revealing key specs for this upcoming smartphone.

Similar to the Bluetooth SIG this smartphone has been listed in the database with the model numbers “V2346” and “V2351”. However, the “V2351” is associated with the Indian variant, as it was spotted on the BIS certification, while “V2346” is identified as the global variant. According to the listing, it will be powered by a MediaTek MT6835 processor, specifically the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, paired with a Mali G57 (962MHz) GPU.

The CPU has two clusters: one with 2x ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, and the other with 6x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The listing also indicates it will run on Android 14 OS and will have at least 4GB of RAM. The screen resolution is 720×1612 with a screen density of 300 DPI.

Additionally, the front look of the device has been revealed through this listing, resembling the Vivo Y100i which was launched in the Chinese market last year. The front features a punch-hole display with a thick chin, while the volume rocker and power button are located on the right edge of the smartphone. The back shows a dual-camera setup with an LED flash placed on a square camera module.

Adding to this, the model number V2346 of this smartphone was recently sighted on the Geekbench database. The Geekbench listing suggests it might be powered by the recently launched Dimensity 6300. Therefore, Vivo may launch the same smartphone with two different chipsets in different regions. Based on Vivo’s record, this seems believable.

Not just this, the recent NCC certification revealed a different back design for the model number “V2346”. It also indicated that it may come with a 5,000 mAh battery, while the CQC certification shows 15W fast charging.

In conclusion, we may likely have two versions of this same smartphone: one for India and one for the global market.
