Vivo’s Upcoming Products of 2025 Shared: New Imaging Chip, X200 Ultra, MR Device, and Next X Fold Series Foldable
The Chinese consumer electronics maker, Vivo, unveiled many new products last year in 2024 and this year won’t be any different. Via a Chinese tipster on the Weibo platform, few of the brand’s plans for this year have been shared online.
Here’s more about the update.
Vivo – Upcoming Products of 2025
As per what has been shared by Vivo (received via Digital Chat Station), the brand is launching a new generation imaging chip this year in 2025. It is not sure whether its moniker would be ‘V4 chip’ or not, however, the X200 Ultra is suggested to be the first phone to feature it. Moreover, the next generation imaging chip focuses on telephoto and video aspects.
Similar to Apple’s Vision Pro, Vivo is also planning on launching an MR (Mixed Reality) device as well. Speaking more, the prototype of the upcoming device is pointed out to be unveiled in the month of September 2025, and possibly some of the specs and user experience could surpass what is offered on the Apple Vision Pro.
Also, last year we saw the debut of two horizontally-foldable smartphones from the brand – X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro. This year, Vivo is said to be changing its strategy back to what happened in 2023 with the X Fold 2 device, by only launching one iterative foldable in the flagship X Fold series. Again, it is not sure whether the brand plans on naming it as ‘X Fold 4’ or not. The expected launch is likely to take place around the third quarter of this year (Q3 2025).
