Xiaomi 15 Pro Tipped to have a Ceramic Camera Module; Expected Render Images in Three Colors Shared

The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, will soon be unveiling its 15 series devices comprising of the vanilla 15 and 15 Pro models in its home market in China this month, and as the official launch date nears, a new update from a tipster on the Twitter/X platform has revealed a camera spec of the pro model. Along with this, what seems to be the render images of the Xiaomi 15 Pro has also been shared online.

Here’s more about it.

Xiaomi 15 Pro – Ceramic Camera Module and Expected Render Images

This update comes from the tipster Kartikey Singh who has shared via his Twitter/X handle that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphone is likely to have a camera module made out of ceramic material. While nothing more has been added by him, this might increase the premium look of the flagship and may not aid in any sort of camera performance improvements.

Xiaomi 15 Pro - Camera Unit

In related news, the same tipster (in collaboration with Smartprix) has shared the possible render images of the Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphone. We had previously already come across the concept renders of the smartphone late last month, however, the now available render images point out that the upcoming device would look more like its predecessor.

The render images showcase the smartphone in three different colors – Grey, Black, and White, and the Leica-branded camera module appears to be square in shape with round edges. There are four circular units within with three of them carrying camera lenses. One of them is notably a periscope telephoto lens. Also to note, the LED flash unit is placed outside the camera module, on the right side. Other design elements are the Xiaomi branding at the lower left side of the rear panel, and the power button and volume rocker at the right side panel.

Xiaomi has confirmed that two of its 15 series smartphones will be officially unveiled on the 23rd of October 2024 in China. The two devices will also come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and will have the Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 custom skin out of the box.

More updates are likely to be shared in the coming few days. Stay tuned and don’t miss out on any updates.
