Xiaomi 15 Ultra spotted on India BIS certification with model number “25010PN30I”
Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 15 series in its home country China last month. While the series hasn’t been launched in global markets yet, we’ve been hearing a lot about the Ultra variant, which is also set to launch in the Chinese as well as global markets. It appears the Ultra variant will be arriving in the Indian market as well, as evidenced by its appearance on the Indian BIS certification.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra BIS
The device has been listed with model number “25010PN30I” and received approval on 20th December 2024. Although the BIS certification doesn’t list the device name, earlier IMEI listings revealed it to be the Indian variant of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The global variant will have a similar model number, with the last letter changed from ‘I’ to ‘G’, while the Chinese variant ends with ‘C’.
In China, the device is expected to come in two variants according to 3C certification – one with dual satellite communication and another with single satellite capability. The model number spotted on 3C for the single satellite communication variant matches the pattern of the Global and Indian variants.
Similar to how the Xiaomi 14 Series launched in India with the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra (with the Pro variant remaining exclusive to the Chinese market), the same pattern appears likely to repeat. Currently, only the Xiaomi 15 has been spotted on both Global and Indian BIS certifications.
Regarding the launch timeline, the device is yet to debut in China. While earlier rumors suggested a January 2025 launch, new information points to a February 2025 release in China. Global and Indian launches will follow afterward.
For reference, the Xiaomi 14 Series launched in India in March 2024, suggesting the Xiaomi 15 Ultra along with Xiaomi 15 might also arrive around March or April in both Indian and Global markets.
