Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 tipped to feature Larger Battery, Slimmer and Lighter Design Compared to Its Predecessor

Recently, tipster DCS revealed that Xiaomi will launch the Mix Flip 2 in the first half of 2025. He added that it will come with Snapdragon 8 Elite, following its tradition, as the Mix Flip came with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Additionally, we spotted the Mix Flip 2 global variant on the EEC certification with the model number “2505APX7BG”. The Chinese variant will have the same model number, with just the last letter being changed from G to C.

Now, new details have emerged from a tipster who goes by the name @That_Kartikey on X. According to him, the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will come with a larger battery capacity of 5600-5700 mAh. Compared to the 4780 mAh that came with the Mix Flip, this would be a significant increase, and it will be interesting to see how Xiaomi manages to fit this battery size in a flip phone. This will also be the first flip phone to feature a battery of this size.

The tipster didn’t stop there, stating that the device will not only have a bigger battery but will also be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessor, the Mix Flip, which came with a 7.6mm thickness and weighed about 190gms. Even DCS had hinted that the next generation of Mix Flip from Xiaomi will definitely have major upgrades. It will be worth watching how the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 turns out.
