Xiaomi Mix Flip global variant sighted on Singapore’s IMDA and IMEI certification, Xiaomi 14T series also spotted on IMEI

The flip phone market is already gearing up for new smartphones from Samsung and Honor. However, a recent discovery on Singapore’s IMDA certification hints that the Xiaomi Mix Flip is also making its way to the global market. I will talk about it more below.

Xiaomi Mix Flip IMDA and IMEI database

It is listed with the model number “2405CPX3DG,” and under the equipment description, it is noted as a “5G Mobile Phone with Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC.” This suggests that the global variant is expected to come with NFC support as well. Although it doesn’t reveal the moniker, a recent sighting on the IMEI database confirmed that it will indeed be called the Xiaomi Mix Flip.

The same model number “2405CPX3DG” was earlier spotted on the EEC certification website. At that time, GSMCHINA claimed it to be the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. However, this new sighting adds more weight to the idea that it will be the Mix Flip.

Although both certifications don’t reveal much in terms of specifications, earlier leaks have hinted at a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with a 1.5K resolution display. It is expected to feature a 32MP OV328 front camera, a 50MP OV50E 1/1.55” main camera, and an OV60A 2x telephoto camera. The battery size is tipped to be 4800/4900 mAh, and the 3C certification revealed support for 67W fast charging. These are the specs for the Chinese variant(2405CPX3DC), but we can expect them to be included in the global variant as well.

Next is the Xiaomi 14T series which has been spotted on the IMEI database

The same user who spotted the Mix Flip on the IMEI database has also identified another device in this series. While the Xiaomi 14T Pro had already been seen on the IMEI database and EEC certification earlier with the model numbers “2407FPN8EG” and “2407FPN8ER,” this time the user has spotted the model number for the Xiaomi 14T, which is “2406APNFAG.”

If you examine the model numbers, those starting with “2407” hint that they may be released in July, while the Xiaomi 14T, starting with “2406,” could be expected in June. However, this is just hypothetical, as the Mix Flip’s model number starts with “2405,” suggesting a May launch that did not happen. Additionally, the Xiaomi 14T Pro is expected to be a rebrand of the upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra, so it may feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC. However, there isn’t much information regarding the vanilla variant so far. It’s better to wait for more details to emerge. Nevertheless, rumors are rife about a potential launch in August for both the Mix Flip and the Xiaomi 14T series.
