Xiaomi’s Upcoming POCO F7 Pro and F7 Ultra Devices Spotted on the IMEI Database; First POCO-Branded Ultra Model Revealed

While it was previously reported that this time the China-exclusive Redmi K-series devices will be launched in the Global market, in a new turn of events, their possible re-branded versions have made it to the IMEI database with monikers. Also, an Ultra model will be unveiled under the POCO branding too as per the new update.

POCO F7 Pro and F7 Ultra – IMEI Listing

The upcoming POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra smartphones with respective model numbers of ‘24117RK2CG’ and ‘24122RKC7G’ have made it to the IMEI database, and the monikers of the two devices are mentioned. These are the global variants of the smartphones, and notably an Ultra model is launching under the POCO branding for the first time.

With respect to the older updates, there are a few changes that can be noted. Usually the Redmi K-series devices have been China exclusive models, and usually their respective re-branded versions were made available to global customers under POCO’s F-series. However, this time, it was reported that the Redmi K80 series devices could be making their global debut as well. The above mentioned model numbers were attributed to the Redmi K80 series global variants, and the model numbers of their Chinese counterparts showed resemblance. But, there is a change with the previously reported model numbers.

Based on the newer update, the Redmi K80 smartphone is said to carry the model number – 24117RK2CC, whereas the Redmi K80 Pro may probably bear the model number – 24122RKC7C. The Redmi K80 is reported to arrive as the POCO F7 Pro, and the Redmi K80 Pro is the possible POCO F7 Ultra, in the global market. The Redmi K80/POCO F7 Pro and Redmi K80 Pro/POCO F7 Ultra are also revealed to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3(SM8650) and Snapdragon 8 Elite(SM8750) chips as per the update.

Regarding more about the Redmi K80 series, it is expected to debut next month (November 2024) in the Chinese market and might be made available at competitive price points. About the other expected specs, the standard Redmi K80 is likely to feature a 2K OLED display, apart from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The expected Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Redmi K80 Pro on the other hand is revealed to come with features like a 2K OLED 120Hz display, 50MP 3x optical zoom camera, 6000 mAh battery backup, 100W wired fast charge support, wireless charging capability, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader.
