Airtel announces its partnership with Blinkit; You can now get Airtel SIM Cards delivered within 10 minutes at your doorstep
Earlier, if a consumer needed to order groceries, delivery apps like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart provided the ease of getting the stuff delivered within a few minutes, but now you can even order smartphones and electronic gadgets from these apps without going through the hustle of leaving your home and making the purchase.
Well, not only smartphone you can also order an Airtel SIM card from Blinkit and get it delivered to your doorstep within 10 minutes. For the very first time, a telecom company is offering such a service. Airtel has today announced its partnership with Blinkit to deliver SIM cards to customers’ homes in just 10 minutes.

Customers can get the SIM cards delivered at a nominal convenience fee of Rs 49. Post the delivery, you can also activate the number using a simple activation process through Aadhaar-based KYC authentication. Customers will have the option to choose from both postpaid and prepaid plans or trigger an MNP or porting into the Airtel network.
For all such activations, all Airtel customers have the option to access the help center through the Airtel Thanks App, while new customers can contact support by calling 9810012345. It will be mandatory for customers to activate the SIM within a 15-day window, post delivery of the SIM card.
Commenting on the partnership, Siddharth Sharma, CEO-Connected Homes and Director of Marketing, Bharti Airtel said, “Simplifying customer lives is central to everything we do at Airtel. Today we are thrilled to partner with Blinkit for 10-minute SIM card delivery to customers’ homes across 16 cities, and in due course of time, we plan to expand this partnership to additional cities.”
As mentioned, this SIM card delivery service is currently live in 16 cities in the country, including Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Hyderabad. While more cities and towns will be added to the list over a period of time.
Purchasing SIM cards and SIM activation now becomes super easy as consumers won’t have to visit any store or be involved in any paperwork for the process.
