According to Airtel, the pack was introduced as a consequence of in-depth customer research, which showed that many consumers found international roaming packs generally perplexing throughout the whole global telecom market.

The “Airtel World Pass” data pack is available for both postpaid and prepaid plans at a cost of Rs 649 for a day’s worth of validity with unlimited data (500 MB high speed) and 100 minutes of local/Indian calling, and Rs 14,999 for 365 days of validity (postpaid) with unlimited data (15 GB high speed) and 3,000 minutes of calling.
Customers will also have limitless bandwidth accessible for emergency use, while tariffs for phone calls and messaging services have been reduced by up to 90%.
