The most anticipated 5G network finally made its debut in October 2022 in India and It is a literal race between several telecom companies to go ahead with their rollouts of 5G services across different cities in our nation. Jio has been on its toes since then and today Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan at an inaugural ceremony announcing the rollout of Jio 5G services in three of its cities namely Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur.
Understanding the Stand Alone and Non-Stand Alone deployment in 5G by Jio
5G is the 5th generation mobile network which is the latest in mobile telecommunication technology. Jio is deploying the most advanced version of 5G, called Stand-Alone 5G, which has zero dependencies on our 4G network. With Stand-Alone 5G, Jio can deliver new and powerful services such as low latency connectivity, massive machine-to-machine communication, 5G voice, edge computing and network slicing, and the metaverse.
