Jio has launched new broadband backup plan that comes with unlimited data at just Rs 198 per month

Since Covid has hit India broadband service seems to have become a common need not only for the workplace but also for the home. And if you have a broadband connection at your home you must have gone through the network issues that cause delays in work and meetings. Jio has brought the solution with the “Backup plan” at just Rs 198. Jio while launching this plan on Monday said that this plan will help homes with unreliable broadband connections with 24*7 always-on backup connectivity. The company also mentioned that this plan will act as a catalyst for the unconnected homes.

Speed upgrade

The “backup plan” worth Rs 198 a month comes with unlimited data at 10 Mbps, a one-click speed upgrade, and free landline call service. Users can increase the speed of broadband as per their requirement for 1/2/7 days. The 1-day 30 Mbps speed upgrade will cost Rs 21, for 2 days Rs 31, and for 7 days Rs 101. If you want to upgrade the speed up to 100 Mbps for 1 day it will cost you Rs 32, 2 days for Rs 52, and 7 days for Rs 152. You can also opt for the 5-month backup plan that will cost Rs 1,490 which includes the Rs 500 installation fee.

Entertainment upgrade

Users can also upgrade their entertainment by “Entertainment Upgrade” which is available on STB(Set up box). With just Rs 100 per month, users can get free STB + 400 live TV channels + 6 OTT apps + YouTube. With 200 per month, you can get a free STB + 550 live TV channels + 14 OTT apps + YouTube.
