Reliance Jio Announced JioTV+ App With Over 800 Digital Channels For Android TV, Apple TV And Amazon Fire OS Devices
Reliance Jio has announced an exciting update for viewers. This is about the availability of the JioTV+ app for free on all leading Smart TVs. For those who don’t know, this app was earlier only accessible through the Jio Set Top Box that came bundled with the JioFiber or Jio Air Fiber connection. Now the viewers can access it directly on their Smart TV without the need for a Set Top Box. On top of it, Jio customers can connect two TVs using a single JioFiber connection, and that too without any extra charge.
This offer brings them access to over 800 digital TV channels, across categories such as news, entertainment, sports, music, kids, business, and devotional and 13+ OTT apps such as JioCinema Premium, Disney+ Hoststar, Sony Liv, Zee5, and FanCode for Jio AirFiber and Jio Fiber users.
A few key points are important to mention here that are as follows
- Users can download the JioTV+ via Google Play Store for Android TV devices and similar steps for Apple TV or TVs powered by Amazon’s Fire OS.
- All the Jio AirFiber and Jio Fiber subscribers are not eligible to get access to the JioTV+ app.
- For a JioFiber postpaid plan, it needs to be Rs 599, Rs 899, and above while the JioFiber prepaid plan needs to be Rs 999 or more.
- The company is working on bringing support for LG OS-powered TVs while Samsung TV users will have to buy Set Top Box.
