Jio has introduced its 5G services to the most number of cities and currently has its 5G network services available in 406 Indian cities. Airtel is also not far behind and has already introduced its 5G network services in more than 265 Indian cities. Jio uses a stand-alone network to deploy its 5G services and is going to be the world’s largest 5G stand-alone(SA) only network operator in the world by the mid-half of 2023. Airtel in comparison, uses a non-standalone infrastructure to make their 5G services available.
Kumar Mangalam Birla’s Vi will have to speed up in order to catch up with its other two rival companies to attain their pace. In order to use 5G services, Vi users won’t have to change their 4G sims and all they’ll need is a 5 G-compatible smartphone. Vi will soon make their 5G plans also available to its users with its 5G network services.
